Good and tasty food is important to us. We freshly cut our fries, make the chicken satay by hand, and prepare the ribs in our own kitchen. We have a small fixed menu supplemented by daily changing specials.

Around 1916, a small liquor store and tasting room opened here, where locals gathered for a drink. From the very beginning, the place had a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Over the years, the name changed a few times, but the inviting ambiance remained. Since 1988, the café has been called Cafe de Blaffende Vis. Where the name exactly comes from? That remains a mystery. Perhaps the creator picked it up somewhere in literature, or maybe it's something entirely different. We prefer to let the stories unfold on their own.
